'Tappuri' new snow, as they say. More fresh light dry snow has fallen overnight. But what's this? More and more blue sky above me over the last hour or two, it looks like it is turning into a lovely sunny morning. Here in Marike anyway. I see cloudier conditions elsewhere like in Kumanoyu but I'd say that we're going to see more blue than white-out today.
It's still fairly early I suppose but got to say I am surprised at how... quiet it seems. I was just over at Okushiga 15 minutes ago and the lifts there were more weekday-like than Saturday. A look at Kumanoyu webcam and there lifts there look almost empty as well. Those two areas are not typically the places where you usually see the biggest queues, but interesting all the same. There's a fair few people over at Ichinose, traditionally one of the busier parts of Shiga Kogen.
There should be more people here!
