It is of course the last day of February and as they say here, spring from tomorrow. Not sure I agree with that, probably because I don't want spring to come and the fact that parts of Shiga Kogen open through until the end of May. That's another three months.
But it does actually feel spring-like today. Warm and toasty out on the slopes with hardly any wind either. Blue skies up above. It's calm and quiet.
Similar, maybe warmer still, forecast for tomorrow. Temperatures set to plummet though overnight into Saturday and snow along with windy conditions forecast for Saturday as of now. Rain is very likely lower down in the valley but we will probably escape such horrors. One of the advantages of being up high like we are here.
