Snow and wind overnight, but not as much as it looked like at bedtime or so. The snow tapered off early this morning, but it’s falling again now.

Another good pre-season snowfall, and thus a report to keep us up to date on the building snowpack.

Nothing much to add from yesterday, apart form about 12cm more snow.

I think we can call today the first real day of winter. Thirty-four centimeters of nice, heavy snow on the ground; the first operation of a new snowthrower and the first visit by the snowplows.

It is white out there, with a dusting of snow overnight. Let’s put 1cm on the record, just to note when we get snowfall.

Last day for snow fun in Myoko, and just barely.

An update as we are officially down to one resort open, with Seki Onsen finally posting that the season is over.

A quick update; nothing new on the snow front, except that it is melting very quickly now.

OK, the season is pretty much over, and what a strange one it was.

Here we are on the last day for most resorts, and your reporter is at one of the last events of the season, the Fischer Cup cross country race out in the woods and golf course between Ikenotaira and Akakura.

There's a sound here that really symbolizes winter in Myoko - and that's what we got last night and into this morning.

What a nice day! Nice and cold overnight, just a little additional snow (I think more than 3cm fell, but that's what I got in the testing area), and mostly sunny skies.
