Challenge - Let's making good "HAIKU"!

Recommended Posts

Here's my haiku:

====================

"The blue sky is great

It looks nice and is pretty too

And I like snow too"

====================

Pretty talented, don't you think?

I challenge you all to surpass that!

aah, but the real challenge is

haiku is 5 letters 7 letters 5 letters, as i'm sure u will relate to a japanese letter (hiragana symbol) being a syllable (including ん)- and hence the usual english translation as syllables. but the purists will yearn for something more genuine...

carot

potatou

vegie

The words makes for a more interesting challenge and surely the more realistic "translation" of the meaning. No? Hmm.

Anyway, here's mine:

Snowboarders have their one plank

Skiers like their two planks and sticks

They are all good friends

Do I win?

sorry, i was having a lark with the letters business, but really haiku is generally accepted as consisting of 17 syllables not words...please try harder. \:o much of the aesthetic beauty comes from the conciseness and rhythym

Hokkaido, Iwate, Aomori, are good.

And Yamagata, Niigata, Fukushima and Tochigi too.

They are all really nice.

Can I start a sentence with "And"? I was always taught at school that was really bad.
