mina2 6
Shit. I had a really good relationship with the American manager at a company my company has a contract with. We were getting places together, with new avenues opening up. Unfortunately, he was moved to Osaka this last month and his replacement is a Japanese beaurocrat type from Hell - you know the type, stiffer than something thats really stiff.... Anyway, had a meeting this morning with new guy. The guy before we got on really well and could discuss things in tons of detail and go places. This new guy is the type that shuts down a conversation almost before it starts. And hes going to frigging well not only close those new avenues that we were developing but also cut down on our existing contract. Bastard.

joshnii 2
I know the feeling. The annual changeover of staff can be a right pain. You have to build up those relationships every year.
mina2 6
Makes me mad. The guy in charge now is a complete turd. Things were going so well before he came on the scene.
slow 0
mina2, I can udnderstand you. Don't be mad. Our boss is a guy lack management skill, too. What he says always sounds very stupid. He should learn how to manage people. We think he is there just for taking our responsibility and paying more money when we go for a drink.
Ocean11 0
Squeezing the squeezable contractors is a sound management tactic. Sounds like the last bloke didn't have it.
