Da Vinci Code

This book seems to be popping up everywhere, I hear about it a lot.

 

Does it live up to it's hype?

I read it and really didn't like it.

 

the story and how it flows is pretty cool and it's a quick read.

 

It just seemed like I was reading a soap opera. It's a quick read, so I will suggest reading it. Some of Brown's reasearch is sketchy, but it is interesting. He really upset some religious sects which is cool. The book has spawned something like 10 other books decrying its blasphemy.

 

If you get that kind of reaction, you made somebody think. In that way, it's good

I never knew about any hype when I read it, but I enjoyed it too. I liked his other novels too, easy to read.

I just finished reading it last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked that it contained factual information combined with a fictional story. I found the factual parts the most interesting and wouldn't mind finding out more about it.

 

I have started reading another of Dan Browns books called "Angels and Demons". Pretty good so far, but I'm not enjoying it as much as I did The Da Vinci Code.

The other way round for me. I did Angels and Demons first. Liked Da Vinci better.
