gamera 0 Posted March 29, 2005 Author Share Posted March 29, 2005 Okay, here's the answer. 500(gohyaku)+ 500 = 1,000 (sen) When we Japanese count numbers, depends on what we count, we add something just after the numbers i.e MAI for something thin and flat like papers, dishes. PON or HON ( depends on the number.. 1 PON but 2 HON ) for something long like poles, pencils, pens. For cars, we use DAI So, 500 DAI cars and another 500 DAI cars meet in 1,000 DAI ( Sendai ) LOL Got it? Link to post Share on other sites
