muikabochi 208 Posted February 23, 2007 Share Posted February 23, 2007 I went to Kusatsu last summer taking in Shiga Kogen at the same time. I really enjoyed it - on that road up to the top of the resort near the crater there is one scarily smelly onsen steam thing ( ). They don't let you stop your car there so perhaps it is because you would be gassed to death after exposure for more than a few seconds. The crater and going over to Shiga Kogen is really cool.
