mattlucas 0
I'd say there has to be some roudy skiing up in those mountains They arn't as tall as the North Alps but they are kind of rugged right?

Yuki's Passion 1
well, its true There are a few steep lines out in west japan - just dont get the same snow quantity and consistant quality. Ive seen Mizuho and Geihoku Kokusai on a few good days and it was nice!

soubriquet 0
I'd be game to have a go at this one. Hai Yama, my local mountain. The bowl below the ridge is the inside of a caldera. I get this view every clear day. Funagata (north of Zao). Only 1500m but quite challenging.

bushpig 0
Owch!! Hey ever heard of anyone doing Daisen? Not the ski slope which is pure crap, but off up the top? Was up that way over GW and it looked like it had the possibility for some sweet lines with some more snow remaining on it. Took some pics, so will post them up a bit later. daver 0
lots of stuff up this region. not so much in the zao area. we actually don't get nearly as much snow as the area around. but the mountains to the north and south are still hosting 3-4 meters of snow.
