I have to say that scrambling into that little line was the happiest I was on the entire trip. That was really great adventure for me

That's the way things go though

In a normal snow year the only problem would have been getting around the waterfall

But then in a normal snow year we would have had to walk for over an hour to get to the bus station

I'm going to dig out a picture and show you why I like that line so much

And on a clear day from work I can look up at it

yeah its sick but it was also scary in that monster. I might do it again sometime but im going as light as i think that i can. im buying one of the fine track tents soon so i should be able to knock the weight down.

That's the lightweight survival gear right?

I'd knock gear weight off of other areas first dude.

You need a good strong tent for when the weather doesn't work out.

I'd get lighter boots and skis and knock a bit of stuff out of your bag

Thanks Daver

You ever going to get down to the North Alps to experience any of it?

It's a good view but the people on here living in Hakuba have a much better view of their side of the North Alps

They just can't see the mountains that we skied over Golden Week

its a nice line i figure the avie started off to the right of in that steep bowl and then the sheer sound and power might have released the left steep bowl. that could be how it got force. heck that is just a theroy.

Daver where are you again?

I might save that line untill toque comes back in a few years with his kids.

toque sking the steeper of the 2 lines that he wanted

i'm up in yamagata. actually kinda far from hakuba area. the fastest way down there is by shinkansen to nagano and then the bus. and that takes in total over five hours. and many yen.

i was initially planning to head to that area for the spring break this year, but i opted out and spent the month of march in thailand instead. these are the choices one must make.

once again, nice job! you guys have certainly made the most of this season.
