Matt 0
I'm in Hakuba now and its cold, dumping and looking like staying that way for the next few days. The consolation prize for a crappy mid-season perhaps...
cal 6
That sounds good. Seems to be snowing in a few regions as well. The parting present.
iiyamadude 6
I'm hoping to give Nozawa one last blast or two this coming weekend.

marnix 0
Hope it lasts til Sunday, but the weather forecast gives me the creeps (rain).
kkk 7
Hope it does too, but can't see it.
soubriquet 0
Plenty of fresh snow in Yamagata overnight. 10-20cm in my town, so plenty up in the mountains. I skied fresh snow yesterday, but it was too windy. Today is windier, so I'll see what tomorrow brings.
sanjo 2
Where is the nearest place to you soub? Are you quite near Zao? Questions, questions
soubriquet 0
Zao is about 50km south of me. The nearest place of note is Jangle Jungle, but it's closed this year. As I've been teaching my boys, mostly I've been going to Akakura Onsen, about 30 mins from me. Very small but perfect for teaching children. I have 6 runs left on the kai su- ken, and that's where I'll be tomorrow morning.
sanjo 2
50km hey? So quite reachable... do you like it there? Had a fairly decent half day today but the snow seems to be reverting back to spring-like very quickly.
soubriquet 0
Never been to Zao to ski. With my boys there has been no point, and when I'm alone, I usually go locally for half-day sessions. We'll go next winter for sure.
iiyamadude 6
Half day sessions - oh yes.... mean one of 2 things 1) Live right there 2) Getting older (I've done a few myself this season. I'd like to think 1) but I think there's a bit of 2) in there as well)
muikabochi 208
I'll take 1) as my excuse! Very windy and rainy today
