toffee 0
I know it used to be Naeba. But where's the "in" place now?
akibun 0
From my experience some kakkoi resort is: still Naeba; Happo; Hunter Mountain; GALA and more Why? I don't know well!
danz 0
I think hunter is kakkoi only because I used to ski at Hunter mt in New York! I find that very kakkoi... danz
Dokumanju 0
wait, define kakkoi ? I know what the majority of japanese people think is kakkoi but what features must a resort have to confer upon it a kakkoi status ? my idea of a kakkoi ski resort would short lift lines, attentative lift dudes (not like the guys at yeti who sit facing the other way - my girlfriend almost had her head taken off last week and those dudes didn't have a clue), decent food (like the soba place at togakushi) and lotsa natural terrain to ride. wouldn't all of that in one resort be nice huh ? Ocean11 0
Well, you just described Wada Toge there. But don't go there, otherwise there might be three people riding the lift at the same time, rather than just two...
jared 0
I think the clear winner is Himekayu in Isawa. Everyone dreams of going there and you can get a season pass for 8000en. Also, (and slightly more seriously) Park City in the US is in almost every snowboard ski vid ever made so I think thats viewed as a pretty cool place.
akibun 0
I think for many people kakkoi is more image than the actual resort contents.
big-will 7
Alas, , yes. That's why Naeba always wins (won? wins?)
xxx 2
I wonder if Naeba is as cool as it used to be.
rach 1
I'm not in Tokyo so maybe the J'peeps I hang out with were never into Naeba...but....they never mention it at all. It doesn't seem to be a pull for people down here at all - well in my experience.
fukdane 2
How about Myok Suginodaira - that seems to have a great rep all round.
