SKI 15
They inspect your season pass and give you a day ticket, surely.
snowdude 44
Yeah but if u need to show that to get a day ticket, ur picture doesn't jump to the day pass so what's stopping people handing off their day pass? In my case I do not need a day ticket just my season pass.
snowdude 44
They inspect your season pass and give you a day ticket, surely. No. I just have the season pass that's it. I have the season pass in my armband so they can see it and that is it. Other resorts maybe different, but at Sun Meadows that is the system.

Problem comes at the end of the day when one needs to turn in the day pass to get the season pass back. (They hold it hostage.)
Tubby Beaver 209
Ah they hold on to the season pass
iiyamadude 6
Having to go back at the end of the day as well is not cool.
NoFakie 45
Just to point out that the JTB season pass Ippy mentioned first is a book of 50 coupons for 40 or 50 or whatever skijos with a photo of you stuck on the back. It's not an actual "pass" as most people understand that word. fwiw, Iwatake and Tsugaike still use electronic gates, so a non-electronic pass wouldn't work anyway. You hand over the book of coupons, they take one out and give you a day ticket, and then stamp the stub of the coupon you've used to stop you getting two on the same day (i.e., for someone else). rach 1
Interesting that. I don't end up going enough to justify a season ticket. Then again, I suppose I'd haul myself out more if I had one.
ozsnowbum 9
had a season pass at nozawa onsen last year. had to line up and get paper tickets, keep season pass they only scan it and give it back i chose to get singles daily and a bunch of times mostly stupidly busy weekends got my ticket and sold it off for 3000 yen. seemed standard practice from the place i was staying.
