Even before we get those fixtures, let me begin by confidently predicting that it'll be out year.

Don't really know what to make of all that lot.

Fellaini is a really good player, good to have him. But can't help but feel underwhelmed.

Marouane Fellaini gave up £4m in loyalty bonuses to save Manchester United move from collapse

Marouane Fellaini spared David Moyes the embarrassment of ending the transfer window without a new signing at Manchester United by sacrificing £4 million in bonuses to seal his £27.5 million move from Everton.

4 mill in bonuses hey.

Doesn't this come down to the Glazers though? ManYoo's spending has been low for years relative to their income, income that is being used to pay off the loans that bought the club. Had it not been for Ferguson's management, the fine team that was in place, and the established culture of winning, perhaps this would have been an issue much sooner. ManYoo bought Rooney, Rio, Carrick, Berbatov, etc. without quibbling over the fee and that was long before the increase in TV money and the vast array of sponsors that ManYoo in particular now have. It doesn't make sense them having to economize now.

The Glazers are grade A tw@ts and the perfect gift to any ABUs out there. If Citeh's DOF had had half a clue and offered half the money they ended up spending last season on Rodwell and Scott phreakin Sinclair as extra inticement to RVP, even last season could have been very different. Man Utd spent 30 mill on Rio years ago when that meant more, but it was money well spent. They may have got Evra and Vidic for much less, but they shouldn't have to keep finding players of that calibre at those prices. Not when they have the income to pick and choose. On the pitch, they are also up against two clubs who don't have the income but have huge benefactors pumping in as much cash as they think it takes.
