pie-eater 207
GGs mention of Johnny Hates Jazz reminded me of another 80s pop classic Cutting Crew - (I Just) Died in Your Arms Find it hard to believe, if he is singing the song. Unless of course he's singing about someone else. But then, it wouldn't be 'I' would it.
pie-eater 207
I'm not sure about 'getting it all wrong', as such, but what's with Queen's song where they keep on going on about "another one biting the duster" Seems a bit silly to me.
pie-eater 207
Or Paul Young and his 'every time you go away, you take a piece of meat with you'. That's silly too. Unless it's some sort of ritual or something.
onehunga 26
Good questions Pies, maybe someone in Queen boyfriend or girlfriend bite on a duster during bedroom fun, as for Paul Young, if he ran a barbeque restaurant, maybe his girlfriend took meat home after visiting. pie-eater 207
Right. I was thinking about that. My theory is that perhaps Paul Young's girlfriend at the time was busy at work during the day times. Back then supermarkets weren't open late evenings like they are now. So Paul always bought the meat in and put it in the fridge for her to take home every time she went away. But even so, quite why he thought it would be an interesting subject for a ballad though, I must admit it has got me quite baffled.
onehunga 26
Maybe the other guy, Art whatshisname had the good ideas, once he left maybe Paul couldn't come up with anything good.
Alexander L 80
I thought it was Paul something who did the writing. But that Art guy had big hair, so he shone more in the spot light.

pie-eater 207
I hate to pull apart some lyrics written by everyone's second fave popster, Sting, but Walking on the Moon had some silly lyrics didn't it. We could walk forever, Walking on the moon ? Walking back from your house, Walking on the moon ? But there are a few realities in there too, for example Tomorrow's another day. Sounds like a Bond film. And the last bit of lyrics is quite profound Keep it upKeep it up Keep it up Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo) Keep it up (Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo)

@tokyo 14
I was listening to an Utada Hikaru song. The main words are Nothings going to stop me.Only you can stop me. Perhaps she changed her mind, but that doesn't explain why she keeps on banging out these lines in that order.
big-will 7
The first line is pretty redundant isn't it. What happened to her anyway, haven't heard for ages?
klingon 10
In a message posted on her website, the 31-year-old said: "I'm getting married soon... This is unexpected even for me and makes me chuckle a bit but my partner is an Italian man." Utada, who was born in the United States and speaks fluent English, did not reveal her fiance's name, which she asked be kept under wraps by Japan's voracious tabloid press, saying he "couldn't be more of an ordinary man." "My partner is a sincere, nice man loved by many friends," she told fans. The couple are expected to exchange vows in an Italian seaside town on May 23, Japanese media reported.
