ILoveZao 8
Monsters completely gone now I'm afraid, since a while back actually. Very spring here and some lifts had their last runs yesterday.
onsen tamago 0
Did you have a good season up there ILoveZao?
ILoveZao 8
Just OK for me. I have been rather busy with some personal things this winter and so not enjoyed the skiing as much unfortunately. For Zao I'd say it's been decent, but certainly not classic.
BagOfCrisps 24
Next year will be! Thanks for the pics ILoveZao.
crittzel 0
Thanks for the pics, Ilovezao. The place looks amazing scenery wise. Does the boarding live up to that?
kyaller 0
It's hard not to marvel at some of the images from that place. Would love to go. I heard that boarders generally like it less than skiers due to a few flat bits. Though have not been myself to confirm that.
SKI 15
My boarding friends do seem to like it less than myself and skiing friends. There are a few places when a bit of speed is needed and in the wrong conditions a bit of cross country pushing. It's one of those mountains though that you need to learn and once you know it you can mostly avoid the pain.
ILoveZao 8
I agree that Zao is one of those places that greatly benefits from some knowledge.
Hooray Henry 0
My friends and I are hoping to visit Zao next winter. When do you think generally is the best time - late January or late February?
Tubby Beaver 209
Late January
muikabochi 208
Yes I would say late January or beginning of February.
