Interesting experience this afternoon.

Was in Niigata visiting a small temple with Japanese family and nearby there was lots of people gathering for what seemed like a concert.

Turns out there was a concert today by the 'visual-Keri' band called SID シド.... no, I had never heard of them either.

But it seems like you need to dress up as a maid-goth kind of hybrid to get in!

What I found particularly interesting was they had these great big skip-like buckets near the entrance to the hall. Each one had a name on it, obviously the names of the band members. People were being told to queue up in a line to go and put their presents for their favourites band member in the relevant place!

Some very nice and expensive looking presents being put in there, and lots and lots of them too.

It sure was fun traveling around Canada from town to town in a school/rock bus at 18. What an adventure and the groupies were lots of fun for sure. I have some pretty wild memories. It was the mid 80's ....mid coke and pre AIDS....definitely was good sex, drugs and R&R........
