Late night Japanese tv...

 

Right now there's a program on called Love Grid which is quite entertaining. "Enter The Box!!!"

I like the programs that show you the machines that make things.

One on now showing how lots of cakes are made.

Honestly, very interesting!

The machines are great but the commentary that makes forced comparisons between every single machine and some tedious "owarai" talento could be the perfect definition of "uttoshii".

 

Thankfully viewing figures for Japanese tv are going down every year, so the public are winning.

 

We took the kids to see an ice cream factory a few weeks back. They have a big viewing platform where you can see the a couple of the main production lines and you get fifteen minutes to eat some freebies.

I just watched Ghost Mama, with Yukie Nakama in it.

I'll watch anything with Yukie in, she's my fave.

I find her endlessly charming.

Call me obtuse, but I can't help but think she might be better at acting if she had more than one facial expression at her disposal.

 

But, of course, I am being obtuse. ;)
