SKI 15
As that area of Minamiuonuma is home to perhaps the most famous kind of koshihikari rice, perhaps a rice theme?
big-will 7
The mascot could be a fish shaped like a grain of rice.
Metabo Oyaji 71
I've already been inundated with requests from people wanting to know how to get from Mt Granview to Ishiuchi Hanaoka. Not sure if you could fit both of these mega-resorts into a few day - heck even a few days - but here we go: http://www.snowjapan...velMode=DRIVING They are just a few km away from each other. Bonus! You know what jumps out from that map? The Joetsu Shinkansen tunnel passes right below the peaks of both Mt. Granview and Ishiuchi Hanaoka -- i.e., right under the path of the future Mt. Minamiuonuma gondola. Clearly, the gondola will need to incorporate a mid-station at the new Mt. Minamiuonuma underground shinkansen station (that will have to be built). Just got to be done. ILoveZao 8
I think there are quite a few tiny place like this dotted around Japan. Gradually becoming fewer, but still a lot of them just about keeping going.
