window-cleaner 0
Do you drivers all have Japanese licences or a short term international one that lets you drive in Japan?
Thundercat 60
International licences are a no-no now for those of us living in Japan. Although, it's a rule that is rarely enforced. For quite a few countries getting a Japanese licence is as easy as filling out a little paper work. No tests required.

Yep for us Aussies there were no tests required (besides an eyesight test). It was incredibly easy.
RobBright 35
Same here. The only problem involved was waiting for an eternity, but that's usual when you have paperwork that beers doing in Japan.
Go Native 70
We made the mistake of only thinking it would take an hour or so. So we didn't turn up until around midday. They didn't get everything done by close of business that day so we had to drive all the way back to Sapporo the following week to get the license.
