nagoid 4
Just curious as a friends family are on the way next season - to Japan - and pondering where to go. A few young uns it will be their first time. The 'joke' of Niseko being flat.... joke aside, is the resort a good place for total beginners? Thanks.
thursday 1
It's an excellent place to learn. Lots and lots of English and Japanese instructors, lots of fluffy powder stuff to fall on, lots of animals in the zoo corner to look at. Niseko is a family destination. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
thursday 1
And added advantage is the availability of English speaking nannies when the kids need time to sleep and do kid's stuff, thus leaving snow time for mum and dad. Or drinking time for Aussie mums and dads.

Mike Pow 52
Yes. Never evers are well catered for in Hirafu and Hanazono. However, it is a big jump initially to leave the lower slopes and take the quads / gondola to mid-mountain. And from personal experience, it's a superb area to get people transitioning from groomed slopes to skiing powder on ungroomed slopes and amongst the trees.
