klingon 10
Just on one of the morning shows here about 3D TVs - start selling them as soon as summer it seems. Surprisingly the price won't be much different to current TVs apparently. Will need convincing but interesting all the same.

panhead_pete 27
Having seen avatar in 3D I cant wait to watch the footy live that way, esp being able to (almost) hip and shoulder a Collingwood player from my own lounge room
RobBright 35
Could be awesome, but don't want to wear the glasses.
HelperElfMissy 42
Nah... sorry .... not for me. It is all too real. If I want the 'it was like being there' experience then I will go do it/be there... board a mountain, go to a concert, get season tickets to the Western Force games etc. Avatar was a good movie. Enjoyed the 3D experience as a once in a while thing - I would not want that in the lounge room. Can you imagine all the little kids terrified that the monsters are going to come out of the TV and get them at night?! It's bad enough with regular TV - I am glad MY kids are older and I wont have to be dealing with bedtime after watching Monsters Inc in 3D at home!!
RobBright 35
And what if you can't get tickets?
HelperElfMissy 42
concert or game? If I can't get tickets to something - thats too bad. Maybe I would watch it on TV - probably not though. As for the Western Force games - stitched up already - we are members, going to every home game
