thursday 1
the lime was supposed to be wiped on the edge to keep the flies off the rim. The tourists squeezed it into the bottle and then you had lager and lime. Hey! a beer soft drink.
seemore 66
Thursday That is what I tell people as well but as I live in the land of flies I find that they are attracted to lime. So unless the flies in Mexico are different That is a urban mith Seemore
gerard 6
Either way, it does makes a crap beer kind of refreshing in the summertime. But better to just start off with a ...um... good beer and just drink it.

RobBright 35
Can I mention something vague? Any of that cheap, shitty beer Dads buy on the booze cruises to France. Y'know the stuff - the biere blanc at 4% that costs something like 40p a bottle.
thursday 1
There's a load of those. The Castles, the Knights. Non-descript bland, generic cheap beer. I bet they come from the same factory.

A friend of mine used to work in the Pilsner Urquell factory in the Czech Republic as a child in the communal labor days, and even the kids got beer at the end of the work day! jared 0
I can assure you that NZ has many, many examples of bad beer. The national style is bland awful adjunct larger dressed as ale. There are however some good beers being brewed such as Epic and Emersons (see ratebeer.com)
Ezorisu 0
I wish more variety was exported from NZ!
