But despite this feeling, rest assured, there is still plenty of snow to be had. Date: March 15th, 2009 Destination: Mt Amakazari - in Nagano Prefecture Preferred method of transport: Green(ish) Skiis - in honor of the upcoming St. Patrick's Day And so up we went.. ...and went.. Stopping along the way for a brief break... And while the elusive raicho of the previous trip was nowhere to be seen this day, an equally elusive ninga was spotted while getting up - armed with only his green skiis... Culminating in a short walk back to the car while admiring a view of the Northern Alps off in the distance... And a couple of these back home - in honor of the upcoming St Patrick's Day... It's in Otari-mura, and the trailhead is about 8 km off of Rt. 148. Pretty easy to find, and pretty popular too - saw about 20 other skiiers/boarders out there that day.
