samwillis5 0
What is traditionally the best time for skiing in Japan? Is it early season/late season; December, January or February? If you had 2 weeks skiing all season when would you take them?
modern_messiah 0
No Idea as I've never been lol. But on feb the 21st we will be there and from all reports its still good up untill late march. 'm guessing that January would be the best time. though I'll wait and see what the regulars drum up!
skidaisuki 0
My experience would suggest mid January / mid February in a "normal" season, but it always depends. If you look back in the Now! reports archive, you'll see comments about fantastic snow in both December and April, especially at the higher and more northerly resorts. best skier in hakuba 5
If I had to pick a month period would be the same - mid-Jan > mid-Feb but the season is so much longer than that.
RobBright 35
as skidaisuki says - traditionally mid-jan to feb - although last season it was towards the end of feb after about two weeks of blizzards and huge dumps.
