virgiledegeneve 0
Dear All, Am French, was born near the MontBlanc Chamoniw. I would like to go to Japan for skiing but I dont know where to go. I like very steep and exciting slopes / really sporty one/skiing on glacier.... and am not that much in the family kind of resort. Could you help me ? Thanks a lot. Virgile
woywoy 0
Virgile ... you should to a place called N I S E K O. I hear it is steep and super "sporty", as you describe.
thursday 1
there are some reclusive mountain folk in a place called Hakuba who ski a lot. You may want to ride the white horse.
gerard 6
Sorry, Virgil. I had to laugh. Good luck with your search

Mike Pow 52
Hardly a "resort" Thursday, but on my hit list. This quote is classic Quote: Cross country skiing is great if you live in a small country. Steven Wright
gerard 6
That's the first I've heard of Rishiri. Looks remote. No economic bubbles there I guess.
Mudguts 0
Just to answer virgiles question without a tongue in cheek. Happo-one in Hakuba is the one resort in Japan which has continually challenged me. Most runs are steep enough to sort the men from the boys if you straight line em and the powder is generally consistent and quality. Location of downhill in 1998 Nagano Olympics speaks for itself I guess. I'd be interested to hear if anyone rates a more challenging place to ride in Japan than Happo? thursday 1
that big wheel on office building in Osaka is a bit of a ride. Freakin frightening.
SerreChe 2
pas de glaciers au Japon. Hakuba a le meilleur terrain, surtout le hors-piste.
