muikabochi 208
It was a nice morning and so I went out with a friend to take a look around a few local temples near where I live. Absolutely no-one about and was able to take a few photos. The temples are called Kankou-ji (actually near the Ishiuchi Maruyama skijo) and Yakushou-ji (near Shiozawa) All photos here: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/insider/photo_section.php?userid=muikabochi&userGallery=208 Let's rice Makihata, from the Shimizu pass area:

sanjo 2
They werep planting rice around where I live before May arrived. Golden Week is usually the start around here. I suppose down in the Yuzawa/Muikabochi area it is around now. Nice ones!
muikabochi 208
I would say most of the rice fields around here are planted now, but they are all busy out there getting it all done.
scouser 4
Like that first one, took a bit to work out what was going on! I bet places like that look good in mid-winter when there is loads of untouched snow around.
