To come to Japan or not to come...is the season over??

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone

I am an experienced Snowboarder who has found some cheap airfares to Japan for April 5th till April 21st. (i am a travel agent \:\)

I am thinking to come to Japan to go Snowboarding for 2 weeks, mainly around Hakuba and the Nagano area.

Is it worth it?

Would Hokkaido have better snow?

It seems many resorts are about to close (resort websites in Japanese so I don't know?), it hasn't snowed in weeks and the snow reports don't sound very good so hard to make decision.

I like spring skiing ok, it can still be fun (not like powder but ok)

I want some opinions please...

Is there anyone in Japan who can say its still worth riding, is it worth coming over?

Thanks,

and hope you are riding happily.

Matt

Hi wave.gif

I'm sure some people would say it was worth it.

(In fact, I'm sure some people would very much want you to feel it was worth it!)

For me, coming from overseas - not at all. But that's me.

Have you checked out the snow reports from previous years, might be good to read for you to make up your mind.

Oh dear, this year sucked a bit late season in Hokkaido. But it will most likely suck a lot more in April up there.

You know, I'd go anyway. If you can't have the decent powder, then have some damn decent food and beer for that matter.
