muikabochi 208
The next resort I am covering in my highly acclaimed, award-winning & excitement-filled "This is" series is, da-dah... Joetsu Kokusai. This resort is a less than 10 minute drive from where I live in Minamiuonuna (Niigata). It doesn't look that big from the road, but theres much more to it than can be seen at first, and the best parts are unseen. While there are a fair few really flat areas at this place, there's also some decent courses to enjoy. Good for beginners and intermediates I'd say. The snow often varies a lot here because it is relatively low... today the bottom the snow was a bit 'noisy' but in the Atema part it was really good conditions. I will upload photos either tomorrow or Monday but in the meantime, here are the 2 parts of the video I took: Vid Part 1: http://www.snowjapan.tv/view_video.php?viewkey=c962aa0d22ac97d69b79&page=1&viewtype=&category=mr Vid Part 2: http://www.snowjapan.tv/view_video.php?viewkey=cf82ab059bfccbd02be6&page=1&viewtype=&category=mr -------- Other info if you're interested Info on sj: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/resorts/resortdetail.php?resid=17 Location: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/maps/japan-ma...su-kokusai.html http://www.snowjapan.com/e/maps/snow-jap...namiuonuna.html
muikabochi 208
Photos! It wasn't the best weather for photos today, rather grey for most of the time so not much contrast going on. But I took a whole bunch anyway. http://www.snowjapan.com/e/insider/member_photo_gallery.php?userGallery=186 That's looking towards Yuzawa. On the left of the photo you can see the Maiko resort (see vid & photos for Maiko I did). Just to the right of center in the distance you can see Kandatsu. A bit further to the right is Yuzawa Kogen and then on the right hand side you can just about see the top part of Ishiuchi Maruyama. You can see my house on this one, looking north east toward Muikamachi.
