Oyuki kigan 0
WTF. Someone actually ent through the work of compiling this? To m, an otaku is someone who gets into some useless niche of popular culture too obsessively, be it men's fashion, anime movies, or snowboarding. Most of the fashion in Japan is geared to this obsessive mentality, IMHO. If 20,000 yen jeans (made in China)and 30000 yen Nike sneakers are not an offshoot of obsessive collecting, i don't know what is. By the way, i'm only saying this because i'm an otaku myself. I used to be a comic book otaku, then a snowboarding otaku, a music otaku, now i am mellowing out into an environmental nazi.

The next place down the ladder is India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Eastern Europe. Quality garment manufacturing is moving out of China because of the high costs.

I agree totally Thursday, China made goods have really improved but at the same time so have the prices. How about Western China is it cheaper to produce there?
thursday 1
Going westward is the direction. Recently an accord was made by the coastal provinces to use western provinces more in their manufacturing. Obviously infrastructure there needs to improve alot first.
Ezorisu 0
The survey seems to be only looking at "anime/manga otaku" and not "otaku" in the general sense.

Oyuki kigan 0
thursday, it wasn't a stab at the quality, but rather the ridiculousness of paying for a product whose mark up is 100 times the manufacturing cost.
