LiquidX 0
Anyone been to Yuubari in Hokkaido? It seems to be on the news or featured in some documentary all the time - the "ghost town" that has so much debt and everyone is leaving.... unused museums, theme parks, etc, etc. Just met a guy who took over a restaurant that often had 0 customers in a day. Even Minomonta is doing a program on it - it's on now if you can stand Minomonta.
cal 6
I didn't see the one last night but have noticed that place covered a lot. Showed you an empty museum and a theme park with 2 guests. (Reminds me of the theme park in Myoko last June when I went to that area). Don't they do melons there?
indosnm 0
They do the melons there but haven't the coal mines closed down? I think thats why everyone's moved out.
dale#1 1
It seems that everything has closed down. Wasn't that the town where the 20 year olds recently paid for their own makeshift Coming Of Age Ceremony or whatever it's called. There's a ski-jo there as well. They've got the publicity, they should make their melons in shape of Pokemon or something as a new business.
pjem 0
I went there once in summer as a friend lives in Sapporo. Pretty area. Just found some reviews of the ski resort http://www.snowjapan.com/e/voice/readrereview3.php?resortName=Mount%20Racey&prefecture=Hokkaido
