big-will 7
...are really cool, don't you think? And why do they have to do their connecting when they're flying? Surely it would be more fun if they didn't have to do all that flying and enjoy it at a more leisurely pace. I didn't know they spent most of their lives underwater as nymphs. big-will 7
At least the flying dragonfly dudes survive. Praying mantis dudes are pretty cool as well, though the lads sometimes get a bad deal. They eat 16 crickets a day, you know.
bushpig 0
Dragonflies are very cool. Here are a few pics I took of some.

bushpig 0
F'ckoff spud a. I never called myself a photographer - just someone who likes taking photos. b. That is a cropped pic, so you wouldn't know how I composed the original

Kumapix 0
re: rule of thirds in BP the photographer's photo it's actually a really nice photo since the diagonal of the leaf leads your eye in into the center where you can examine the dragonfly

damian 0
Mate, I wasn't taking the piss out of you. I was taking the piss out of camera geeks who wank on about "rules". Elitist cosck suckers all of them.

damian 0
damn, I just read Kumadick's post. See what I mean?! What a buttmonkey. (I enjoy a meaningless and pretend emotional bias against photographers after repeatedly suffering an elitist that sneered at 99% of people with a basic camera and a simple desire to point and click and stick it in their digital photo album. If I dared show him my pictures or videos he'd huff a sneer of air out his nostrils and walk away mid way through. I now hate all photographers equally, its fun)

IIIII 2
Praying mantis are excellent. Such strange looking creatures. I've only ever seen one in real life and it was fascinating. Most insects are really cool - as long as they out of my house and on my body.
bushpig 0
you've only ever seen one??!!?!??!!? I have seen hundreds, if not thousands, both here and back where I grew up. Damn!! But yes, they are incredibly cool creatures.
