So, how does it work then? We had a late start to the season. So does that mean that the chances are it will finish early? Even if it snows like an "average" year now, the base is lower than usual so will disappear quicker than usual?

Any words of wisdom?

(Of course I know it will depend on how much snow falls, but generally speaking - know what I mean? ;\) )

This year's shaping up to be a bumper season, just three weeks later than the usual weather patterns, just like the rainy season stayed late, and autumn started late. Whether spring will also come late remains to be seen.

From today, the heavy forecasts should bring levels well up to the monthly averages, anyway.

West Japan folks, should be a fantastic weekend.

Kansai folks, Skijam should be up to four meters by the weekend!
