2pints-mate 0
Do they go totally nuts over Harry Potter in Japan as well? Is there no escaping it?
sava 0
Hey, I've read them
cal 6
Not sure about the new book but seems pretty popular here.
sakebomb 0
I have read them, I am not exactly a fantasy witches and warlock fan but they were an enjoyable read, the new book should be in my hands today! I think it is popular here as a lot of my students have read the books (in Japanese of course, lazy sods).
kkk 7
I thought that they were kids books... how come you guys are reading them?
sava 0
Because they're fun and I was bored
sakebomb 0
Ditto!! I think they are to thick to be "kids" books, the new one is about 600 pages!!
gamera 0
600 pages!?!?!? Sounds like a simple dictionary. Perhaps I won't read through the book.
soubriquet 0
They are well written and entertaining. JK Rowling has a degree in classics, which is a good start. 600 pages is nothing to a motivated 10 year old. I've read all the previous books, after my 8 & 12 year olds have finished them. rach 1
I never even thought about reading them, maybe I should give it a try.
flask and butties 0
I thought they were kids books - last summer a nephew showed my his and I started reading it, and thought it was fun. Ended up reading the whole thing.
smelly feet 0
Well I started one and stopped after a while and started reading something more adult.
