veronica 2
I wonder why so many Japanese seem to love The Beatles. I like some of their songs, even if some of them have been worn down with hearing them way too many times. But they seem to have a special place in the thoughts for many Japanese. Anyone know the background?
kintaro 0
Good question veronica. A little off topic but I just heard that Micheal Jackson owns a lot of the Beatles music.
Ocean11 0
The Beatles came to Japan, and one of them married a Japanese. How many other major bands at that time paid Japan such a compliment? Could this be a factor?
Curt 1
Perhaps it has something to do with the songs.
Ocean11 0
Nah, the other bands had songs too. It must be something else.
connackers 0
The love for the Carpenters I find far more distressing. Especially when you get forced to sing at enkais and you`re drunk enough to ask them what they want to hear. "Do you know Carpenters?" "Errrrrrr....." "How about Disney?" "Errr... Bugger... show me the beatles selection again..."
sunrise 0
It's probably those mop tops.
Yuki's Passion 1
Thinks its because theyre one of the few bands that you can actually understand what theyre saying and the pronunciation is quite easy for J-peeps: Here comes the sun here comes the sun and I say its alright blah blah blah. Cant stand the beatles
