  1. That would annoy me too, even if it didn't affect the actual photos. You expect something new to be in 'perfect' condition, anything else is not good.
  2. I just feel cheese when I hear him. Of course better than Bush, but it's not the best thing to compare against I suppose!
  3. Thanks miller. I am getting the impression that just something that gets me by will be more than good enough. They're pretty cheap too which is always a plus.
  4. Yikes Quote: A man armed with a knife has killed six people and injured 11 others in central Tokyo, Japanese media say. The incident occurred in the Akihabara district, a busy shopping area known as Electric Town that is popular with young people and tourists. A suspect, said to be 25-year-old Tomohiro Kato, has been arrested near the scene. The stabbing falls on the anniversary of a brutal knife attack at a primary school in 2001. 9. I have tried before to print out a guide book. Messed around with settings and finally got a few pages on a sheet, but whatever it never ends up anywhere near as good as having a book with a spine.
  10. Anyone got a Thom Hogan's Complete Guide for a d200 or d300? Any good?
  11. Translation, perhaps I like the sound of semi, but they only appear when it is hot and humid and so I associate them with that.
  12. I can understand people not wanting a d200/d300 tank. I'm more than happy to lug the weight of my d300 around though.
  13. Thank you soubriquet. I have been playing around with both the last few days. Learning new software sure does take time (especially when working in a foreign language!!)
  14. Hardly anything this spring after a really bad first spring in Japan. Seems to be general that too, not as bad as usual?
  15. The PC at Narita last time I went you could SEE the dirt and germs having a party on there. I decided against using it and told the staff people nearby it needed a good clean.
  16. Kind of a photo question here. For all the photo dudes and dudettes on here, what software are you using? I have got a new pc here and it has both Elements (6) and Lightroom on it. (Both full versions). I'm still trying to work out which to invest the time in to use. I'd be keen to hear thoughts from those using both as a back up to the web search I'm doing as well. Cheers
  17. I'm still getting over the shock of this purchase, so I'm afraid there is no shopping list right now. I'm quite well equipped though, don't you reckon?
  18. All sorts though I'd say landscapes are a main one. Love playing about with the macro and fisheye as well.
