  1. Reality has hit my nephew with only 3 weeks to go. He has decided that he will only need a to take a little cash with him as he will get some more from the ATM's when he needs it. YES we have told him 100 times that cash is the king in Japan. He was quite shocked and stunned to learn that he wouldn't be able to get of the flight and wonder up to one of several ATM's at Chitose Airport and get some cash out. After telling him that he HAS TO HAVE CASH AGAIN - he simply replied "but Japan is electronic's capital of the world are you telling me they don't have ATM's. Oh yeah this tr

SAM don't worry you might want to hope it is only an average year as last year it was a below average year for snowfall and it snowed and snowed and snowed, we only saw 1 bluebird day. Don't worry there will be plenty of snow there for you when you get there.

  9. This was really shocking - the news was awful when I went to bed but to wake up and here there could be up to 100,000 lives lost that is devastating.

  11. This morning I had a very interesting drive to work. I had just come over the crest of a hill on the main (busy) road and there was a dog jogging up the middle of the road. I immediately slowed down as did the car in front of me, hazard lights on ready to pull over and catch it to get it off the road (as I thought is was a stray) AS I got closer I noticed that a ute on the other side of the road, I thought, was also pulling over. As I got closer I noticed that the dog was actually chained to the back of the ute and the driver of the ute was casually driving along the road with the dog t
  12. Wow that looks really really bad. You listen to it on the news and feel for those people but once you actually see footage it really brings it home how devastating it was over there.

  15. Thanks JA - I went online this morning and everything had dived a little so I will wait a few more days in the hope of it going back up. Travelex with also deliver to the nearest Harvey World Travel. Think I will end up sticking with them. I don't get a charge if I BPay and the nearest Harvey World Travel is 5 mins away.
  16. Oh yeah the bigger version really does the picture justice. It is SO Beautiful it looks like something out of a fantasy picture.
  17. MB Don't waste time justifying how you have time down load pictures for our pleasure. Us Aussie's stuck back home in sweltering heat are checking the forums daily for our fix AND we are loving what we see. Keep up the good work everyone. I will try hard in Feb to continue on with pics and reports.
  18. Hi JA do you think AMEX is a better way to go than Travelex. Just looked at the Westpac and they are offering super rates with only a $4 fee.
