The patrol was out in full force today, apparently a group of desperados had been poaching treelines and the redcoats were standing post at some of the popular drop in points. Standing at the top of my last run I ran into some fellow rippers and offered to run a little distraction to afford them an easy opportunity to drop in unseen. I got a late start at Happo today but the upper lift was shut down for most of the morning. I made it just in time to be one of the first ones down skyline

Well after booking this trip in the begininng of December we finaly got the details today. We are staying in Hirafu at some place called FUTAGOYAMA. I can't seem to find it on SJ anywere, anyone know anything about this place?

With all this snow in the forecast I am heading up to Hakuba a day before the party so I can get a full day of skiing in on Friday. I will be coming up by myself so if anyone is planning on getting some runs in before the weekend let me know.

It was actually snowing on my way into work this morning. Not just a flurry here ether it was actually snowing. Not going to amount to anything but the mountains I can see from here are frosted. I think I made this happen when I waxed both sets of skis last night. Maybe if I do it every night I'll be able to ski to work instead of drive.

I hear that Samurai. I am bring my pow boards and my mid fats for my 3 day trip this weekend. I hate fighting my pow skis down groomers.

I have the same skis with Salomon S12 bindings. I like these skis for days that im staying on piste or just pouching a bit. They pound through crud and they have good pop when making fast turns. They make groomers fun. As far as off piste they have good float for a mid fat but nothing compared to a fat ski. If you get into deep stuff you will be wishing for a bigger ski. I have noticed they get a bit chattery at stupid fast speeds. So if thats your game you probably want to get something stiffer like a full on race ski.
