Balance is important. Watch videos and see how the centre of gravity stays over the supporting foot. Stand in a doorframe and allow yourself to use your fingertips to balance at first.

I could do em last year. Haven't tried this year... but I have a feeling I know the answer.

Sounds great! But... it didn't happen if we can't see photos -

My crappy backseat technique means my legs get tired pretty quickly, but Stunts and Dan have been helping me with some tips so I'm going to do my best to fix it up. But even so an epic day and really opened my eyes

How fast can you ski?

If you had a nice gentle runout then I guess you could just point them downhill. Got a lesson in what real speed is from FT and Stunts this weekend though. -
Waterproof/Shockproof digital camera

I used the canon case+camera setup shooting some pictures this weekend (it was actually a friend's G7, not G9, but similar stuff) and it was great. Easy to shoot in the snow without worrying about destroying the camera. I think I will have to get that G9 setup myself. -

I think I have been to West Park Cafe, they have a branch in the marubiru if I'm not mistaken. The key to the AS Classics burger is the layer of some kind of compound cheesy mash/paste they put below the patty - just a thin layer. It transforms the experience. Always a good choice for dinner after a journey home from skiing/surfing.

If she has had a concussion you should be aware that subsequent concussions before recovery has taken place can be extremely serious. I'm no doctor and I have no idea what happened here but well... 14 year old daughter... just thought I ought to say something just in case. -

If you're in Machida (I think you are) then it's a bit of a ride, but could probably use the Denentoshi line depending on which station you live closest to.

It's a bit of a stroll but well worth the effort. Just next to Komazawa Koen so you can work off your huge burger with a nice stroll around the park. Watch out for lots of people bringing dogs wearing clothes at the weekend though... I once

Hi, Am looking to get a new camera. I don't really want a DSLR as 1) I know I would be too lazy to carry it around everywhere and miss loads of shots; and 2) I am just a particularly good photographer and don't "deserve" anything too good. The Canon Powershot G9 has come to my attention as a possible candidate. Pretty full featured but still relatively compact. I had a go with a ski companion's G7 (predecessor) for a short minute and it seemed to work just fine. The view finder was a bit small, which I wasn't too keen on, but the screen was large which sort of compensated. Does

Nice lineup... need to boost both my holiday allowance and skiing skills quite a bit before any of those becoem even a remote possibility. Where are the areas to ski in Chile? I've heard a bit about Argentina but not really Chile. That Russia TR on TGR looked interesting as well, but once again it's just a pipedream for an amateur like myself.
