Don't weant to spread any anti-Tecnica sounding rumors, but I have a friend who had a problem with theirs, sounds pretty similar (and he said he would never get Tecnica after hearing of other incidents). Huge crack down the side all of a sudden. Is it a Tecnica thing or just boots in general - some explode?

I wasn't prepared for this new snow, thought it was all over (as did some resorts it seems!) I'm up for a weekend out.

Big evil company on 3 year deal. Possibility of extending that.

I never used to have a shower/bath at night, but now I do without fail........ it's the only way I'm allowed in bed!!

April. Deadwood any good?

I was at Zao in mid January. I was disappointed with the amount of snow up there, somehow I imagined it to be a place that would have tons of the stuff but we had a good time up there. Layout is not perfect as people note but we found a few areas that we stuck to for a while and moved on. It was totally uncrowded though and we did noticed lots of empty places as well. It seems strange to want to see more people, but thats how we felt.

I'm so looking forward to going to Nozawa. It seems to really be a place that everyone likes, perhaps the most generally liked resort in Japan? Hopefully sometime in March.

Well, I have a Zen and really like it - I'd go for that if I was out buying again for sure. I've heard more than a few stories about ipods long term unreliability and the people I know who went Zen are all happy. Zen is also a cool name. Apples are fruit.

The 3 times I have been I have done Sunday / Monday and it hasn't really been busy at all. Monday definitely less than Sunday as you might expect. I've been surprised at how uncrowded places were actually.

3 weekends: 1 @ Zao 1 @ Myoko 1 @ Hakuba I'm going to give Niseko a try in 2 weeks time, can't wait.

Hi Been lurking for a bit thought I'd take the plunge and join in. I started snowboarding 5 seasons ago back in Whistler, worked there for a few years and been in Tokyo since November.
