  1. If there is a group hitting park in Haks this weekend I could be tempted to go there instead of Yuzawa...
  2. Wait a sec, there is a group hitting up parks in Haks this weekend?!
  3. No set date yet. I think that Dizzy may be the main organizer so I will ask him
  4. It does not follow that because the shares of a listed entity have fallen that the value of the underlying assets have as well. In the case of listed REITs and RE companies, share valuations have contracted against stable or growing NAVs. In the case of the REITs they have increased their equity ratios, which have diluted returns. The problem with RE companies in Japan is that they do not trade their book and, as such, do not crystalise capital gains. How has Roppongi hills fallen in value? Since when? It has never traded nor, due to being on the balance sheet of a private company
  5. Those figures actually make the strength in high end buildings weaker as they aggregate includes outdated stock that is not holding their value (pencil buildings etc). Some of the newest residential and office buildings in central Tokyo have almost doubled in value. For instance, the developments in Akasaka Green Park, and Mid Town have made a lot of money for the those who invested (and then sold).
  6. Are you going to come up to Hakuba this spring Mike Pow? Some of the boys are thinking of a hike and camp in golden week
  7. I dont' know what the official warranty policy is but Pat has bent over backwards sending people new skis over and over again, even lending them blem skis while they were waiting. I wouldn't worry about warranty, if they are faulty they will be replaced and if not, they are bomber.
  8. Helicopters are for poor people. Get one of these and you can ski down with the pack. http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/transportation/4217989.html I just don't know were to put my shovel and probe.
  9. Yes, the carbon is poppier and lighter. If you were to put dukes on them they would be the killer soft snow quiver killer. The performance on big lines would be the same so, if you are going for a pow ski with normal bindings, the glass would be ok.
  10. This is the price we can get if I order them for SJers: Carbon Brockers - $789 All Glass - $689 183s - $535 This is cheaper than list. Then we have to work out shipping.
  11. Brockers would replace both. Traditional camber and a non-tapred nose create hooking and divng problems on the 130 that don't occur on the Brockers. 112 is fine for even the deapest conditions especially when the big, rockered shovel allows you to put weight fwd without tip dive. They are light and can tour well nd, unlike the ARG they have a good edge hold for hard snow when sking and gnarly traverses. No comparison. ARG is better that 130, though.
  12. There is no comparison between Prophets and brockers. Frankly I am surprised that you bought Prophets when you already have 100mm wasted traditional skis.
  13. I would flip those prophet 130's on ebay if I were you. Too much sidecut on a traditional shape.
  14. I believe they are for order. If we get a group order I think I may be able to help people get priority service.
  15. Don't worry, I am more of a porch ninja these days than a poach ninja. A ninja is a ninja...
  16. I just clicked on Biglines to get my Poach Ninja image to find that this photo of me slarving the brockers has made it to photo of the day. That is the closest thing to ski fame for me and I couldn't have done it without my BROCKERS! Get yours now.
  17. Thanks. Just for my own info, how are the Yuzawa terrain parks doing? Has Ishuichi's park melted away yet? How about the pipes? Kandatsu? Or is it time to head down to Okutadami for the late season super sessions?
  18. Someone at work is considering a day trip on Saturday and wondering if the convenience of GALA would be outweighed by the crowds. I figure it is late season now and may be ok...
  19. No, he is a sponsored PM Gear rider who ranks on the international freeski circuit.
  20. This is the review I wrote on TGR In addition to the rave BROcker reviews showing up in tech talk, I would like to add a comparative review, having ridden or owned a lot of reversed/rockered skis in my quest for the perfect soft snow ski. After riding the Spat, Toon, Hellbent, ARG, Seth and Brocker, the BROcker comes out the hands down winner. This isn't because it is the perfect pow ski, I would have to give that to the Spat shaped skis, it is because even on a pow day, we aren't always on perfect pow and the BROcker slarves pow almost as good as a Spat while hitting up everything
