  1. I'm back in the U.S. and the people here are all strange. They speak with a funny accent and everyone is so serious. But anyway, northern New England (New Hampshire/Vermont) got a slight dusting yesterday - so let's hope that this means a good season on the east coast (and the far east coast for my SJ brothers and sisters holding it down in Japan). I hope my shipment arrives here before winter, my board is packed somewhere with my dishes and lamps. I told them to wrap the board extra carefully, but don't worry too much about the dishes - we only care about the important stuff right? I've ne
  2. Today's my last day in Japan and I just wanted to say bye to all my friends, foes, and jokers here on the forums. I've had a great time chatting with you all and even got a chance to meet a few of you. I'll be checking in from time to time and i'll try and post some pics from the east coast. Have fun, stay safe, and JIB every chance you get!
  3. That storm freaked me out - I live in this tall tower and it was swaying all fricken night...I thoght the whole thing was gonna come down at some point...my wife reassured me that the tower was strong 'like bamboo'....
  4. I'd rather impale myself on a 30 inch rusty nail striaght thru the abdomen than buy Apple products. (not that I like MS, but my hate for Apple runs deep)
  5. yea, but the burgers here don't have real Maui onions.....you can eath those raw like an apple they are so sweet.

  7. Perhaps you should ask them to let you join? If not, I think an 'all-office' e-mail is in order....
  8. My passport was issued in Hong Kong, but it's an American passport - I'm from Hawaii - go bows!
  9. What is 5600 degrees Kelvin? Warning, spoiler! The Sun
  10. Journeyman just spent the season there - he'd be able to tell you how it was this past season. I went there for a long weekend and it rocked!
  11. yea. The wierd thing is that I never slammed it. My boots are well fitted and i've been using them for a couple of seasons. But my foot moves forward and my big toe keeps pushing against the front of the boot. By the end of the day, it gets to be pretty painful...but this is the first time that it turned black. Luckily I didn't loose the nail so it hasn't been painful at all - just ugly.
  12. here we go again - I think I have seen this thread created like 6 times. It always ends up in a niseko vs. hakuba pissing contest. Fortunately, i'm pissing blood at the moment, so i have you all beat
  13. Boots - last season I ended up with a BLACK NAIL from my current boots. It still hasn't grown completely back yet - I guess it takes about a full year for your entire toe nail to grow from tip to tip.
  14. I don't know soubs....sometimes - when i'm on the 'throne' and the pipes are backed up a bit - I'm pushing to release the strain - some times small little ones some out in a contolled manner, othertimes it's an anal explosion and I need to clean the ceiling afterward. Let's hope there's nothing like that in store for us....
  15. I'll be near NH - Killington is a pretty good mountain as is Bretton Woods.
  16. I prefer many small ones, but i worry that these are pre-shocks...they don't seem to be behaving like aftershocks - I think we have yet to see the main quake
  17. ANOTHER one...and a 5.1 - I wonder if these are pre-shocks or aftershocks, the Great Kanto Quake of 2007 is coming?
  18. East coast. I hear New England skiing is icy as hell, I've had good experiences the times I went (accept once) - well see....Just like Jonny Walker - i'll keep on Jibbing...
