Don't ever tell a beginner boarder to lean back. they'll never learn to turn or stop b
  2. I came off a bit harsh above. I guess that was my instructor-self remembering the bickering family members strewn about the snow. I don't know anything about J schools, but american kids' programs can be phenomenal. Mammoth, Kirkwood, Telluride, all the big resorts are pros and definitely worth the coin, imo. Hence my bias. I even sent my mom off with another instructor. Teaching family members when not (although I was) a pro instructor can really ruin a vacation. I've seen it a hundred times. Some crying kid that dad won't pick up, a woman yelling at her boyfriend/husband wh
  3. wow. I used to work for Nova. I came to Japan with 1000 dollars in my pocket. I needed the cash-advance to survive. I was the typical employee too. At that time, I wouldn't have had the savings to fly home should I want to quit. I suspect many employees are in the same boat that I can imagine I would have been in. that's a farcked situation right there.
  4. Having a ski school background, I feel obligated to respond. regardless of age, kicking a soccerball was the standard pre-requisite. Don't torture your kids with ropes around the waist. They're not dogs. If they can't stand up, why tie them up? do something else. find a kids' school. They enjoy it, and you get to ride. and... the instructors actually deal with kids on a daily basis. They do actually have a grasp on introducing kids to skiing. (believe it or not.) If it's too early, who cares? besides you. Put them in daycare. Oh and rule number 1... Never... E
  5. I just wish I liked their music. I just can't figure it out. It's like bellowing cries and gets me feeling zero emotions other than... shut this crap off! But I'm simple like that.

  9. both my parents have had their cards stolen and my father had his identity stolen as well. And now, about 6 years down the road, he still has to deal with people opening credit cards in his name. The dude they arrested in the first place, sold my dad's social security number and now it's just in circulation. To him, paying bills online is now safer and he has told all of his creditors to NOT mail anything as his (paper) mail getting stolen in the first place caused it all. That was a fricking nightmare. He played PI himself, tracked the guy down and my mom ended up calling the police to
  10. throwing big airs at high speeds and landing switch is really fun. It's called the "Pucker Factor." If you don't get that, stop keeping your a** so clean. The skiing in the vid, however, is really rookie. It's just some kid learning something new... slowly.
  11. Halloween means deer hunting season is just around the corner, and halloween candy means pocket munchies in the woods. Mmmmmm... chocolate, gun powder, and guts.

Ironically, that highschool kid was as bright as Ahmadinejad's recent statement.
  13. I mistook Clinton Impeached as Clinton removed from office. For some reason I thought impeachment meant removal. I always thought they tried to impeach clinton but failed. My semantics are twisted. my bad. "So basically you think that it is ok to defraud voters and rig elections as it`s not a valid point." huh? Is that what the guy was yelling at Kerry about? WTF does kerry have to do with that? You've completely lost me. But that's okay, just keep rambling on.
  14. This week is cheap in Japan for the US $. Americans will adapt to the year's high oil prices and readjust their spending in preparation for the holidays. Then they'll spend like mad to prove to themselves that they can keep up. Then, once they recover from that spending spree, I don't expect the dollar to ever reach the 115yen range again. 115 is really low and I blame the summer vacation spending in the states. The fall = savings time and the holidays always boost the dollar. next year, the US $ will be more expensive. imo.

He was voicing a very valid point, ok so he`s a journalism student but at least he was passionate enough to try to elicit answers from Bush`s cousin. He really got done for saying blowjob, why does Clinton get impeached over a BJ and Bush doesn`t for defrauding black votes in the most cor

  18. He knew he was going to be tased. I don't know if he kept wrestling. "Don't tase me, dude." doesn't tell me if he told them he was calming down or upping the struggle.
  19. Actually he spoke for several minutes asking several difficult questions. He was also told that he no longer had the floor. People are asked to leave assemblies all the time for disrespecting the conversation. But when you resist, you get tasered. You can speak your mind, that is freedom of speech. You just can't disallow others to speak. He spoke and wouldn't give up the floor. Then he resisted arrest. The cop was fricking carrying him like a child throwing a fit in a grocery store. I'm sure the cops will just say they were protecting themselves from flying arms and a hostile body
  20. Actually, he was found guilty in the civil trial and was given a 30.5 million dollar fine payable to the Goldman's children. It is estimated that the money he owes the goldman's for the deaths is closer to 60 mil. He moved to Florida where laws protect his assets. I've never heard anyone ever say anything positive about the guy.
  21. I saw the footage on the news. The guy was totally resisting arrest. Then, when he was on the ground I heard his voice yell; "Don't tase me, dude." And then he started yelling in pain. I couldn't see how much he was resisting when he was on the ground yelling "don't tase me." Another guy that witnessed it said he would have tased him sooner. When the police grab your arm and attempt to escort you, you leave. If you rip your arm away and wrestle them and force them to literally carry you while throwing a fit, they tase you. He wasn't tased for speaking and this has nothin
  22. I'm stoked for ya Tsonda. Surfing is something I have always dreamt of. I tried it once in chile, dislocated my shoulder in the paddle out. I have a horrendous shoulder history... 40 dislocations between them both with surgeries beginning 10 years ago. In that, I lost the range of motion to paddle a surfboard, and I'm bummed. I bodyboard though! (If I have fins )
