No such thing as inbounds BC As for Nozawa The trees at the top are generally pretty safe Much too flat for my liking but safe to learn. I wouldn't venture into any other trees at that resort with more experience and the right gear

The marker will fill a niche wih that 16 DIN But that heal riser looks like crap up against everything else on the binding You'd think they could engineer something a bit better Even worse seeing as anybody using a binding that beefy will also be sporting a stiff boot That's killer on the uphill -

You serious Looks like a piece of trash to me First off you have to step out to change from downhill to tour Second the heal riser can't be raised with a pole Third the weight Fourth did I mention that heal riser? I'd give it a couple years to work out the bugs FR for me Actually **** that Dynafit is the way It's not Markers first try with an AT binding -

This season`s injuries
mattlucas replied to farquah's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
Broke my foot January 2006 Twisted my ankle January 2007 But I'm back now after 3 weeks of not doing much. To bad my free time is all but used up and I won't have much more until June. Weekends for me now. Although I do have 2 weeks off in March... Enjoy the free time I'd never had a free winter before and last year I actually had some fun without the thought "have to go skiing" running through my brain all the time. It sucks sometimes but train really hard and you'll be back soon enough Drink beer, eat food and visit people you would normally not see in the winter -

What do you eat when you are drunk?
mattlucas replied to klingon's topic in General off-topic discussions
Poutine rules Had some the other night with real cheese curds which are difficult to get out west. I wasn't drunk though... Thursday night The Office (American) nights I always go through loads of food. I am on a cookie binge right now. But they have to taste homemade Also great are Crispers. Chip or cracker? Salt and Vinegar is the best In Japan I usually spent some time in the Circle K or Family Mart picking out the greesiest piece of chicken I could find. I also like the Hamburgers but they have to be cold -

Good joke Thought I might have to come over there and bitch slap you though. Even though a snowmobile helped me out on my last trip and saved me some energy on a 3km stretch of boring road I think if I were still in Japan Hero would hate me because I'd always be nagging you to get out into the hills even though you have responsibilities -

I thought she was way hot As for if you should post pictures of ladies in bikinis on here I don't know. It works well on other ski forums. I don't think people can use the I'm at work excuse when they live in Japan. In North America it is legit Roo you can redeem yourself by posting STEEP POWDER SKIING pictures It's a honshu boys club But all are welcome and I have to say that as I am no longer living in Japan -
