Quote: Originally posted by dizzy: what aspect is that? are you going to hit those chutes skiers left of that avie this season/sometime? That aspect is West Northwest. The CAA was warning of avalanches on East and Northern facing slopes because of strong southwest winds during the storm. Interesting that that one went on a mainly western facing slope The line off the summit at the moment has a mandetory air which looks pretty big. I'm not sure if it fills in -

I didn't get any pictures from the powder frenzy of the day before but got a load today in the sun All that snow from the day before and then it cleared up the next day and saw this natural off of Ymir But we wanted to get some sidecountry so a friend and I skinned up and got some powder in the tight trees and on a different aspect In the afternoon they finally opened up Catchbasin. After a long uphill sidestep/traverse we got some very nice nearly untracked powder -

On top of it there are also cycles, some decades are warmer/colder than others. Yah It was either really cold or cold And it either snowed so much that they had to go into the house through the 2nd floor window or dig out the door Now it's either cool or warm And you get so much snow as to go in through the 2nd floor window or none at all

That would be an interesting ski Janus But surely something cheaper in Japan Unless you got that kind of money... Why not go for Goode if you have that kind of cash. With a Freeride binding it would be burly and light -

And pics mate pics I had my camera as well I don't know It was the first time for the dude I was with as well. We ended up on the road a ways down. Was cool though up high. Still needs a bit of snow to cover up the downed trees lower down. But it's raining hard out right now and 3 degrees. So it will be dumping up there. -

Cool dude I'll have to keep eyes open at the resort or in Nelson That's why you live in Hakuba So you can wait for the right conditions. Keep your eye on the Banana Couloir as well and I'll be really jealous. Other than Hakuba Yari direct the Banana Couloir is the other most aesthic line in the valley -
