  1. Where is it.... I'm on the lookout for winter gear but it all seems too exp so far!
  2. Looks like Liverpools season is over before it's started....
  3. Quote: Case in Point. A half dozen miners are trapped for days in Penn State, its massive news, thrilling gripping stuff. 60 miners die in China and it gets a mention in the briefs on page 7. May this be the result of a communist state, where the mine and the news agency are owned and run by the state. It's unlikely China wants to shout about the fact that they have the most unsafe mining infastructure in the world.
  4. How can you associate a power blackout in the North East of USA and Southern Canada, to the pressing issues you've described? In fact I don't doubt they are pressing, BUT WHERE IS THE LINK? Apart from "news worthiness" ? But being as Peaker was watching CNN, does a major blackout in the United States deserve coverage on a US news network.... The problems in Africa etc are an ongoing concern I don't see what the above mentioned is trying to achieve with such a petty swipe at a problem which COULD'VE had major consequences. It's just pure anti-us cr*p!
  5. Nice one Peaker...you numbnuts! What about life support machines or kidney dialysis etc....do I detect some anti-US sentiment?
  6. "Pukka mate. Woooh yeah. Oi! Jules where's the baby ?" Tosser.
  7. All I do if I get homesick is ring a mate and listen to them rant about how much they hate their job or how 'bored' they are. I love home, family and lifestyle and it was a bitch to leave, but now I'm here I don't see myself going home for a few years, but i wanna settle there eventually. Mind you I shalln't become a Japanese 'lifer'
  8. " Why did you leave me in such a hurry ?" she sobbed. "I only wanted to show you my CD, it is a home movie of my life in Sweden, with my 4 sisters." Her voice was weak with the pain. Now, a wonderful chance to get to meet 4 semi-naked Swedish babes, on a personal level had presented itself. My reaction was quick and to the point....
  9. Jamies Kitchen......please don't let that be OLIVER...JAMIE OLIVER..... If it is, run for your lives Australia!
  10. Nice people! Temptation Island, anyone seen that? I saw a few episodes, basically it's and bunch of male/ female models at two separate exotic holiday resorts, they then get a set of idiotic couples (who don't seem to understand why they are doing it) to spend a week in the opposite sex resorts. I mean some of the guys and girls who exist to tempt one half of the couple where really beautiful/ handsome, and these people get upset if there fiancé starts playing around!!!???? duh? It was quite humorous to watch them blabber away as their boyfriend had just jumpe
  11. Used to work " title="" src="graemlins/cry.gif" /> But I did have to live in a 4 man tent and run the risk of death by mosqueto, snake or female late night chitter chatter!!
  12. Yeah those Bento sets don't smell too good. db it seems that the snakes are after either you or the mutt. If it came down to a straight you or poochy, would you take the hit of venom?? My one experience with a snake has provided me with a lasting image. My 30+ year-old ex-boss who was WAY outta shape attempting to remove the non-venomous belly slider(which wasn't known till later) out from underneath a female employees bed, armed with BBQ prongs and tea towel! He was surprisingly agile (for someone who looked so outta shape) and had a rather effeminate yelp...as discussed
  13. around 40 in the carribean, i got sunstroke and was in bed for 3 days.....
  14. SMINTS....did you know they are also a mild laxative. a friend of mine once bet his younger sister she couldn't eat a whole pack. the greedy little thing gobbled the lot....no prizes for guessing where she spent the next couple of hours!
  15. "The Royale Family my arse." The Office is comic genius, up there with Alan Partridge.
  16. Not really from parents, just from friends and your personal choice. In the US tipping is almost obligatory I'm guessing from reading the other posts. In the UK it's not, but is the polite thing to do, and is always done on long taxi rides or in resteraunts..
  17. How about Alberto Fujimori, stands accused of mass murder in Peru.....living free in Japan.
  18. I was chatting to a mate of mine yesterday, Canadian who told me CD's in Canada are C$ 12 which equates to 6 pounds, CD's in the UK are over double that 13 - 15 pounds, or C$30!!! I am NOT happy However I've taken it upon myself to purchase a MD.... and well you know.... How much in US or AUS etc????
  19. I've noticed that due to the rain/extreme heat variations, Japan can get a bit whiffy (well here in the city at least). It is mix of things, but reminds me most of wet dog.....any of you guys notice it!
  20. NF You know where you can stick that chariot......
  21. Good god, though some of the people on this thread have justified their no tipping attitude, some of you are boadering on down and out STINGY!
  22. Yes Wally. Yes yes yes. Give it a go, my parents still think they are "too old" I've tried to convince them otherwise. They REALLY don't know what they're missing. Good luck.
  23. Kamo, I'm in Osaka....do you know any bars where they'll show the Welsh boys whip the All Blacks arses (ahem)??? Really looking forward to it....but my excitment has yet to rub off on few of the English, Canadian, US or Aussies I know, eventhough 2 out of those 4 have a very good chance of getting there hands on old Webb Ellis! Anyway: "Bread of Heaven, Bread of Heaven....."
