Music - buy CDs, download, copy??
nekobi replied to klingon's topic in General off-topic discussions
i just got adsl and bought a cd-r drive so i've become a burning freak. so easy to make mixes with iTunes. -
it's cool when you are diving and you know there are sharks in the area bc you're scared to see one, but also really want to. it's like a mission to spot the biggest, baddest one. don't know if yall remember about a year and a half ago there were a few shark attacks in the us--- one was where i'm from- virginia beach. a little boy was bitten just playing in the wave break and died. really sad.

i agree with sfg- koh samui is too crowded. i liked ao nang near krabi, but really wanted to check out hat ralei (no idea how to spell that)

Your favourite riding weather?
nekobi replied to Z7007's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
i like beautiful blue skies and warm sun- like it was on friday. today, though, was the worst riding weather. rain, crap snow, and absolutely zero visibility-- had no idea where i was going- way too scary. i'd brave it for pow, but not the snow-cone stuff that was out there today. -
Did you enjoying season?
nekobi replied to sachiko's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
what's with this warm weather? there was rain at nozawa today! i've been enjoying the season, not even close to being ready for it to end. -
i saw some of the first season of 24. totally addicted. but last week i watched some of the later episodes from the second season and it too confusing. it's the kind of show you can't just watch here and there.

nekobi replied to zwelgen's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
zwelgy, yeah man you need to lay off the pipe or get laid. i thinked you got hooked on it today instead of hooking up. it's the weekend though. anything can happen. -
i heard they filmed most of the jackass movie in japan. is it already out? anyone seen it?

i don't see the point of a home gym. mine's only 150 yen a go and my main motivation to go is to use the shower afterwards. the shower in my apt SUCKS and i absolutely cannot use it in the winter.

beer at lunch?
nekobi replied to nekobi's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
where's that nomihodai?? would be fun to hit before going home. -
i got you enderzero-- back in my high school days before everyone had cell phones, it was popular to have a beeper- often a gift from a boyfriend to keep tabs on his girl. anyways, you could only enter digits when you beep someone, so you used numbers to look like letters. ie 6000 = good 843= bye ... can't remember any others off the top of my head.

so i think they were discussing on the japanese forum, but i don't know so much japanese. anyways, does anyone partake in beer during their lunch break? i always see japanese people having some. does this happen in other countries?
-
I'm such a junkie too, although my post numbers wouldn't reveal that. I'm working on it though. yesterday afternoon was pretty quiet so i checked out the japanese forum to satisfy my cravings. even tried to make an understandable post.

hem now-- you been to png then? zwelgen and i were there last golden week.

how did you get the nickname rupert from llyod?
-
virginia. haha- just wanted to answer with my state. i know- i feel stupid i don't know these things. i like to be down with lingo, and have improved a lot over the past year and a half so now i use words like loo, jumper, mate, carpark, trainers, etc, but i'm still learning.

i use felisolia for yahoo and aim, but i was having trouble registering with sj, so i kept trying different things to get it to work. both felisolia and nekobi mean cat-sun... my name's kat and in high school i would always draw doodles of the sun on my notebooks. yeah, i know, lame-o. zwelgen and O11- i will be joining the noz party fri and sun and tues, but could be persuaded to check out hakuba one of those days.

zwelgen you yourself steam up the onsen- oh la la... and for the record, yes i say yall all time (though not in a very southern accent), but for some reason i hate it when someone puts the apostrophe in it- dunno why. and what's hoicking??
