  3. Excitement is building, yes! Unlike some colleagues, I'm not into fall I want the snow to be here NOW. We had over 4,000 people visit the site yesterday for the first time this season.
  4. Mikuni was a weekend only resort last season. About Yuzawa Nakazato - they have said something to the effect that they will make a decision whether to close that resort or not after seeing how business goes this season.
  5. Hi sv, thanks for using the site. There is a hotel section on SJ as well: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/hotel/index.html All the places on there are very happy to welcome non-Japanese speakers and support SJ. Good luck.
  6. sakebomb, yes that is correct... although if you have some cookie-deleting software on your machine it won't work unless you tell that software to "keep" the SJforums cookies. gamera - your name may appear as being "online" a short while after you have finished using the forums - this functionality refreshes itself regularly, it's not always instant. Hope that helps a bit!

  9. Passing on this info for anyone interested! "This Saturday Febuary 1st, the 2003 Nagano Ski Trip will be hosting a MONSTER SIZE party at Hakuba's now infamous CLUB VALANCE (previously Club Universe). Doors are open from 9pm-6am. We are expecting at least 50 Brazilian stunners from Cortina, need I say more?!? The price on the door is 2000yen (this includes one free drink). Our DJ, Fergus, will be playing a mixture of everything. Come along, get drunk, it should be a crazy night. See you there, Jon, Andre, Phil"
  10. We'd also like to know about places to stay up there (as well as other areas we don't currently cover).......
  11. Good, let us know if you hit any problems...although it should be working fine...
  12. Final comments on this issue. Quote: one point is that the snowfall depths on the forecast pages and likewise with the now reports have been inaccurate Snow depths are provided by official sources, (which come directly from the resorts themselves)- data which is not "town snow depth" but the snow depth actually at the resorts. We do not have any control over that data as it is (indirectly) provided by the resorts themselves on a daily basis, from a reputable source. However, the bottom line is that the data comes from the resorts themselves - if you feel that the data they are
  13. A new webcam image of Niseko Hirafu resort has been added to the Niseko Now page. The image is currently updated every 30 minutes. Click on the Niseko Now link at the top of this page to get there.... Looks for further updates soon.... Thanks -------------- PLEASE NOTE: As with all webcame/images from resorts, we don't actually have any control over them. As of 1:30pm Sunday it seems there is some technical problem with this particular image....
