  1. All that would do would increase the number of moan mails coming in (Are you working today yamakashi?)
  2. me jane - just to get slightly technical about the setup of things here, the Search button is actually just a text link and we can't change that. What we could do is perhaps put another link somewhere (either at the top of the forum page or the bottom of the pages) with a new link to search. The reality of the situation though is that even if we had a massive search button, it really might not make much difference.
  3. I wonder if that would get more response than the stickers did/have? (Didn't know you had ordered any cheeseman )
  4. There is a lift ticket + ropeway ticket available - one-day @ 5000 yen http://www.tanigawadake-rw.com/skiseason/ryokin.html
  5. Actually I'm pretty sure that most resorts at town level in Yuzawa don't actually have snow-making machines. There is hardly any base at all at places like Iwappara (20cm or less), so the town really needs that first big dump that Hakuba seems to have had already.
  6. Yuzawa hasn't really got going yet unlike a few other places that seem to be getting a lot of early snow. Kagura has some pretty good conditions though, some good reports coming in from there. But we haven't had a real big snowfall in the town yet, just patiently waiting. It's early yet though, no need to worry. We're just being spoilt by some very cool reports from other regions getting more. Take a look at December from last year: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/daily/yuzawa-now-archive.php?month=12&year=2004 It will come soon
  7. It seems they have changed it - the webcam center is one of the things we are currently working on (so many things to do!)
  8. Thanks to the people who have got their stickers - reaction seems to be good all round happy to report. Anyways, there's about 10 people who filled out the form a few weeks ago ---- but we still haven't received anything from...... we'll mail you individually soon but we were wondering when you might be sending us what's needed? Thanks!
  9. See... look at the way this is developing already and how much attention it is getting I think it is fantastic that people often help each other on here and that is only to be encouraged but please lets try to avoid this kind of thing. If no-one can or wants to help someone out with relevant info, then as we said the thread will quickly die out and disappear from view. Let's please just try to refrain from sarcasm in situations like this and creating bad feeling on here. (And that is is a general comment, not directed at anyone!) Thanks.
  10. Yep, must say we agree as well.... we really don't want to put people off and at the same time run the risk of getting a reputation as being a place where 'new' posters are not welcome. That is something we would not be happy about at all. I realise some of the things asked might get a bit repetitive for some of us (me included!). But a thread will quickly fall down the pages and disappear if not many people answer. On the other hand if it starts to become a flamefest it gets a lot of attention, and it just ends up being not good for the forums as a whole. Thanks! And... w

What we mean by that is there are no resorts or
  13. WEATHER REPORTING & SNOW DEPTH DATA The SJ weather forecasts and snow depth info for the majority of resorts around Japan is now up and running. The weekly weather forecast is updated every 3 hours, while snow depth information is updated once a day. Please note that, unlike our Now! reporting, Snow Japan does not have any control over the weather data and snow depth data. The weather data is provided by a reputable major Japanese weather forecasting company, whilst the snow depth data is ultimately being provided by the ski resorts themselves. The data does not come

  21. Disappointing news from Kagura - you're going to need to get on the bus from Mitsumata Ropeway to the top of the Kagura Gondola. As of yesterday they were planning on opening a Mitsumata lift to get you there, but it seems that they have changed their mind. Latest update: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/daily/yuzawa-now.php
