  1. There is an image of a very early version here: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/features/interviews-andrew-lea.html Flashing gif not pictured! We should perhaps update that interview too....
  2. I am so glad we did this, just wish the decision had been made before now. Found some very interesting things in the clearout. The best had to be an old Gateway laptop, complete with Windows 95.... and also the original incarnation of this website from back in 1999. That brought back a whole lot of memories. Pause for thought as well actually, which is always a good thing to do every now and again. I remember first making that original site and the reasons for doing it. As much as things have got bigger and more complex in many ways over the years, the basic idea and goal remains the
  3. Thanks for your well-wishes. Just glad that move is over, it seemed to take forever. It will be a bit before we get settled down but really loving new place. To answer someones question - nothing changes other than our postal address.
  4. I think we can cope without donuts! Been thinking about it for a while actually, for a number of reasons. Then the office being semi-trashed by the earthquake on the morning of March 12th made the decision easy to take. It was an old building and we were on the 5th floor, so not a particularly fun place to be when the ground shakes. And.... the new place is so much nicer.
  5. Thanks. Yes, the Matsudai poster has made the move as well. David, your timing the last week or so has been perfect... for you!
  6. Our World Headquarters has moved. Since we got started proper about 9 years ago we have been based in an office in Yuzawa right next to the main Echigo Yuzawa station, but as of today I have handed back the keys and the now empty office is looking very lonely. I just thought I would mark the occasion with a post and a few photos. Lots of memories but it was time to move on. So, we are now based in neighbouring Minamiuonuma just about 20 minutes drive from central Yuzawa. Our outrageously luxurious new top secret hideout is located deep in the quiet Mi
  7. No donuts that I am aware of. Have found lots of stuff that brings back a whole range of memories though.
  8. I'm afraid not. But - we might have a new Minamiuonuma webcam.
  9. Don't know yet BagOfCrisps. I don't think we want to get too far away from the Yuzawa donuts though.

  11. Actually I met one of the guys from Gala this afternoon and asked them the very same. Apparently, not one day has been lost this season since the downhill course has been open, so seems to be working in that respect.
  12. Thank you But you know, it's what we do. Well, part of what I do. If it started to become something that I didn't feel really positive about doing for whatever reason, I'd stop doing it.
  13. Excellent. Now if we can get a few million of them gathered up, we might be on our way! But seriously, testing will be at least 3 months off (so, probably 5 months then!), but will be in touch when that time comes. Thanks.
  14. My main developer showed me something really exciting the other day and I totally want to apply it to the site. Still waiting to hear what the actual damage would be if we did something like that and just how possible (or not!) it will all be so early days yet, but exciting. Donations being accepted!
  15. And apparently it was true pie-eater. No pickles here I'm afraid. But... Bartons are the best!
  16. My friend, he has been sending me them as I ask just now. Exciting evening hey! I'll try and find out exactly where and share if I do.

  18. I would imagine that Yuzawa had some massive years too before then. I have seen photos of scenes that I have never seen anything like in the nearly 20 years I've been here.

  23. Not far, Prescot is next to St Helens, really about 15 minutes from where my parents live. The golf club is pretty close to Knowsley Safari Park, just off the motorway.
  24. Some friends of mine are regulars at the Huyton and Prescot golf club and apparently Joey Barton is a member - and a thoroughly decent chap too!
